Classification and types of anemia that we must know
Anemia is a disorder that usually attacks the blood variety of reasons, the most familiar is iron deficiency anemia, which is produced by lack of iron.
This mineral is absorbed into your blood and through the food in two ways. “Heme” and “nonheme” that make a marked difference according to their degree of absorption, the body called “bioavailability.” Heme iron is of animal origin and is absorbed by 30%, and the heme iron is of plant origin and has a very low bioavailability which absorb only 10%.
It also has different classifications of anemia.
* Iron deficiency anemia, which is the best known and iron deficiency.
* Anemia from lack of vitamin B12 malabsorption and anemia of that vitamin.
* Anemia due to lack of folic acid.
* Anemia of chronic disease because many diseases can cause poor absorption of iron, or the rapid destruction of red blood cells leading to this pathology.
* Anemia due to loss of red blood cells, or hemolytic anemia, it is present when red blood cells from bone marrow are unable to compensate for the loss of them and there is a shortage of red blood cells.
* Anemia bone marrow failure, when it is injured does not produce any blood cells.
* Anemia by enlarged red blood cells when they change their size grow, perform their duties properly, as when genetic alterations of hemoglobin, causing malfunction.
